Four of the
six San Joaquin roundtrips use the classic Santa Fe depot
for their Stockton stop. This depot remains one of the busiest along the
San Joaquin Corridor due to the many bus connections that emanate
to and from Northern California from this location. |
CalTrans'
fifth and sixth San Joaquins finally gave Valley patrons what they
had been clamoring for: service between Bakersfield and Sacramento. These
Sacramento trains use the former Southern Pacific depot (now owned by Altamont
Commuter Express) for their station stops. On October 10, 2002 Train 701
departs for Sacramento. |
