Almost a shrine to Northern California railfans, the tall, nondescript Stockton Tower stood guard at the crossing of Santa Fe's Second District mainline with Southern Pacific's Stocton Sub main and Western Pacific's (later UP) 2nd Subdivision mainline. With a long string of Amfleet cars in tow, F40PHR 293 rattles the tower's rafters on the afternoon of September 15, 1985 while enroute to Bakersfield.
